I saw this YT vid for someone who coded a sign effect from a Transformers ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DGpw_cFoT4 and I thought it was interesting so I looked up what the sign actually looked like and found this: https://youtu.be/GutCWfwUMb8?t=8s you can see he did a really good job. Not with FastLed but a good job. I want to do this in FastLed, and add the background noise effect you can see in close up. Can anyone recommend what noise settings could be used to replicate the background “electronic noise” effect? This is for my personal use. Thanks!
By “noise”, do you mean the leds that randomly flash brighter?
If so, have a look at the “addGlitter” function in the DemoReel100 sketch (in FastLED example folder).
Call the function from e.g. another drawing function (see “rainbowWithGlitter” in same sketch) with the amount of glitter in the argument.
