Repetier Firmware & software limits
Is it normal that I can move further than declared lengths for X/Y axes? Fortunately my printer stops on maximum position but internal value is still above limits. E.g. I have 165mm in X axis. I can move to position X=160 and when I hit “+10mm” button printer move 5mm (that’s correct) but internal position is X=170mm (it’s weird). So now if I hit “-5mm” printer does nothing… (it changes only its internal position)

My printer: Smartcore (CoreXY)

Depends on firmware. On some firmware they do not move past max setting except when you use the manual controls on the LCD.

If you really want to know what is going on then you will need to look in the source code of your firmware.
