RepRap shutting down their selling activity.

RepRap shutting down their selling activity. It is very sad, because i am sure they bring some significant solutions in open 3D printing.

I’ve honestly never thought to check but I’m guessing RepRapPro isn’t the same people as the RepRap team, right?

Absolutely the same.

Yep just found the about page.

reprap is not a single commercial team. No worries about it.

RepRap itself is a movement that was started by Dr Bowyer and others at University of Bath. He was a leader in the DIY printer movement. He and the others with him basically started it. RepRap is here to stay, the company that Dr Bowyer started to sell printers and parts has decided to close.

Many RepRap stores/suppliers have closed in the last year. I didn’t see ReprapPro iterating like others in the space have been. They had their core focus and pretty much stuck to that. The market has moved on and the price pressure from China on low and mid level machines is pretty intense. You don’t have to build an entry level machine now, you can buy one.

@dstevens_lv I mean I definitely know who RepRap is, I just never made the association with RepRapPro
