Reversal problem

I wonder if you can help. I’ve recently bought a small Chinese cnc kit machine. When I first used Chilipeppr I was able to engrave the standard chilipeppr logo. I then upgraded the firmware to GRBL 1.1
When I manually jog the axis, it appears that the axis motion is reversed.
When I click to X right In the simulator graphic the machine is moving X right. But in reality the machine is moving to X Left.

Does anyone have experience of this reversal problem?
I believe that all of the electrical connectors are correct as theres only one way to insert the connections.

Now the axis are working, but the spindle won’t turn on haha.
