It’s funny what psychological effect the limit has. Although I had been thinking about replacing one Teensy3 that I recently fried, when I saw the “limit 4” I suddenly though Oh Hey Maybe I Should Get Four! (So far, I’ve resisted.)
FWIW, the Teensy3 is well supported by the FastLED library v2; we even take special advantage of one of the ARM Cortex M4 DSP instructions that is available on the Teensy3, but not on the Cortex M3-based Arduino Due.
