Right is before fan, left is after.

Right is before fan, left is after. Do I need more fan?

PLA at 195 degrees on 3DR Delta

I would like to know as well, I was thinking about getting a better fan but I don’t know if I need it

More fan or less speed.

Will try both more fan and less speed.

What are your perimeter and infill speeds?

You sure the thermistor is set right in firmware

After looking more closely, you are probably on to something @jinx_OI .
I have personally never seen or had prints that look that bad, but it does look way too hot.

I’m using this hot end and the provided thermistor https://www.hotends.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=88

In firmware I’m using this line for the thermistor:
100k thermistor - best choice for EPC0S 100K 4.7k Pullup

This is the 3DR firmware if that helps at all.

cant see the link for the firmware, I recall the firmware option is 1 in marlin. be sure the therimstoris firmly attached as for the fan is it blowing on the peek of the hotend . what speed you printing at…any chance you can reprint the part and video it? which electronic you using ramps?

print speed?. try to lower a bit the temp, first 5c and then 5 more.

If you are using slic3r, change your cooling setting to make a longer minimum layer time. Looks like the PLA is not cooling enough between layers in the narrow spots

Jinx,
I’m running Marlin V1 it looks like. I’m using option 1 for the thermistor. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the right setting for it as I was printing at 190 and if I go to 180 its brittle and the layers don’t bond well.

Nicolas,
I’m printing most settings including perimeter and solid infill at 30mm/s normal infill at 100mm/s.

Eric,
I’ll look for that setting.

100mm/s for a small part maybe to much in allowing the layers to cool, could you try 30 across the board, and if tht doesn,t work we can rule out speed as issue, go 20mm/s that well with the tolerances of the J head,

I went 20 across the board and added another fan. Everything is great (better) now! I need to figure out how to get rid the slop in my machine but other than that I’m square now.

Thanks for the help folks!
