Yup, that’s the approach I’ll use for the 30 LEDs/m “in silicon coating” strips I’ll use for my jacket project. It’s the 144 LEDs/m “in silicon tube” that’s giving me grief currently. The latter requires about double the size heatshrink (which shrinks unevenly) and has about 1/5 the size solder pads, making a solid solder joint difficult/impossible.
