this looks like a good opportunity to take the design from this site and modify for your extrusion. there is a link on this page to download (free) the design file in multiple formats. I could see using this design with the bearings you mentioned: http://www.cncrouterparts.com/extended-linear-carriage-with-abec-7-bearings-p-35.html

Looks like a drip cap to me.

@Paul_Frederick ​. What is a drip cap. I took the rails from a old packaging machine. I think it was used as a kind of frame for a door or cover.

If you do not want fluid dripping inside of an opening, say a door, or a window, you put a drip cap over it, to redirect the liquid from dripping inside of said opening. So yes, a drip cap would be on a frame over a door.
