Rostock Max V2/Matter Control support material. I’ve not had much luck with the support material as it has been way to thick of an extruded grid patter and doesn’t come off well. Any tips on this or success? Do you use another app for your support material?
in mattercontrol you should be able to set the percentage width of the support (I believe) and then you get less fill expand the distance in between, I have it set to 6 mm but i think i might take it up to 10 (my support comes out looking better then my piece which is annoying)… also try using Slic3r standalone, I was having issues with matter control and switched to straight slicer and it seems to be fine (the bed is 140 by 140 and zero is at 0,0) you cant ‘rotate’ your part (not that i found, so i use mattercontrol to orientate the part then load it into Slic3r and make the gcode then put it on a SD card)
We definitely recommend trying out the ‘Lines’ support type if you haven’t already - it’s quite a bit easier to remove than ‘Grid’.
Matter hackers, I think I’m going with Simplify3d.
