Sbase v1.3
Smoothieware from this site
Tevo Black Widow printer
8H1 metal sensor, NPN NO
Upgrading from MKS gen1.4 8bit board.
The sensors have tiny led on when they are triggered, now its always on. Pins are correct. Tried with, without “^” and “!” or both in the config file, 3v3 and 5v. No change.
Help please.
EDIT: one suggestion was to run these with 24v from the power… By specs, they could, but how did they run on the 8bit? That doesnt run em on 24v, right?
About your problem specifically, it’s extremely likely that your board is defective. MKS doesn’t actually test their boards so we see this happen fairly often. I recommend you try getting a replacement, though their dishonesty in these situations is legendary. Good luck.
Is there a sure way to determine if the board is booboo or not? It does seem to work mighty fine otherwise and the problem is in all 3 endstops. I dare say the board is fine. There is something “small” im missing but i cant ficure out what.
Considoring i have a BIG pile of burned 8bit boards and they all are made by you-know-what, i do see your point too…
Any linksy to EU site selling the original smoothieboards? I’m willing to invest.
Well, you can always try upgrading your firmware and config file examples using the ones at smoothieware.org, but I don’t think it’ll help. Small chance though.
To get a smoothieboard, follow the big button on the smoothieware.org homepage.
I’d drop 400 bucks on this in a second if i knew it worked/fixed it.
But i need to be sure of that and tight now, im not. I doubt the board is broken to be honest. If it is, i need a way to be sure first.
If i bought the original board, i’d have to wait WEEKS for “maybe” so first things first, tell me how to be sure…
EDIT: Here, i’l throw a cookie. IF someone is able to get this working. By the looks of it, MKS aint the nicest maker out there, SOOOO, i’l drop the full amount on the original. I just need to be sure “it can work” and right now, something giving me this much trouble is something i’m happy to get rid of already. One good print, adios pirate-board.
Tens of thousands of users get Smoothieboard to do what they want every year. If the wiki says it works, it works for many people. Just get a smoothieboard and if it doesn’t do what you want, point me at this post and I’ll buy it back from you.
