Scraped an old first gen Prusa to build an i3 over the weekend. I’ve been wanting a simple workhorse/proven design to work on some control/extruder projects. I modified the frame to use half inch ply and be cut on a CNC router and changed a couple parts to fit hardware I had on hand.
Overall this was a super simple build and went really fast. I should have it running in a couple days when I get time to look at it again. But the documentation on the reprap wiki for this printer is atrocious. Theres like 5 variations documented on one page, and its never very clear what info is for what variant. It took a few hours alone to dig through the git repos to find a usable dxf to start the frame from. Are there plans to more cleanly document the i4?
