I’m referring to the yellow text at the bottom, not the white on blue in the updating margin. Don’t know why I didn’t notice the white on blue updates when looking previously. Maybe I’ve been man-looking?

yeah, the font size for the yellow text is calculated from the available width. this needs to be improved …

Are there occasions when its not updated in the white on blue text?

the console (white on blue) shows only the temp when heating up. lateron the regular temp check is not shown anymore (unless you have debug logging enabled)

Thanks for clarifying. That must have been what happened. I was driving z Axis and maybe updates went off screen.
