I’m just setting up my Mini X5 board for the first time ,and trying to switch over from Repetier .
I’m running Repetier with my minix5 and I was wondering why I don’t have control over the feedrate and flow rate slider?

As repetier host is closed source, it is not 100% supported in Smoothie and probably never will be. I suspect the two non functioning features youi mention are part of that.
I recommend printrun/pronterface, it works well and is open source so incompatibilities can be fixed.
