I encountered some difficulties to get the Rumba and LCD screen working but now it works :-).
- 16u2 chip firmware to update
- USB cable
- cables of the LCD screen to switch (what is written on LCD board is wrong)
Where did you buy the LCD?

@Couby_Stark Is this the same LCD they offer for the Robo3D
Printer? You mentioned that what the screen says is not correct, in what way. Reason I ask is that I just bought a Solidoodle and want to add a screen like this to control it. But I think the functions only work with Marlin firmware and the Solidoodle runs Repetier Host.

I don’t know for what they are offering with the Robo3D Printer. I took a look at their website rapidely but I don’t see it. Do you have any pictures of this offered LCD ?
What is not correct is what is written in the back of the LCD board for the wiring. You can read EXP1 and EXP2. When wiring it directly to a RUMBA board or to the adaptator for RAMPS, you need to invert wiring EXP1 to EXP2.
For the firmware aspect I think it should work also with Repetier. I see in the Repetier firmware config file you can define the use of that precise hardware (RepRap Discount Full Graphic Smart LCD Controler). Here again I don’t know solidoodle, so some confirmation by someone else would be better, yet if it is working with Repetier firmware it should also be able to work with Marlin one.
@Couby_Stark Thanks for your reply. The panel I saw was in a Youtube video about Robo 3D Printer upgrades. The guy doing the video said he got it from Rep Rap Discount, so I guess it is the same one you have. I appreciate the info on hooking it up.
