Should you calibrate the print bed after you apply the 3m blue tape?
Does the thickness of the tape make a difference?

What’s the best to use to wipe the tape down? Alcohol?

I’ve never had to wipe the tape down, though it does wear out over time a little.

Thickness of tape is usually consistent over the entire roll, so once you adjust to having blue tape, you shouldn’t have to adjust again until you go tapeless again (or switch to different tape).

I purchased the single sheet tape

Whipped out my digital calipers and measured the tape - 0.10 mm of thickness. It should matter, it’s about half (or third) the height of a print layer.
