Show-n-tell is the right place for this isn’t it? ;). AngelaBaby (A Hong Kong Celeb) being 3D Scanned as part of a new #3Dprinting campaign by @adidas_Originals . Read our story on how they AND @Coca-Cola are using the technology in Ad campaigns. > Web Server's Default Page
You mean ad campaign such as this spam here? So no info on the scanner used, the technology used, behind the scenes? How does this fit at all with the stated goals of this group?
I dub the blogspam.
The scanner used is the Artec Eva, as mentioned in the blog and in the photos twice. The printer in the Adidas campaign is not mentioned as the models have not been completed yet. The Printer in the Coke campaign is a Z-Corp Z510, which is also mentioned in the blog. I have posted the photo as a little light relief.
I find this interesting and relevant to the group. Thanks for posting.
Thanks @Shachar_Weis I’m aware that this isn’t the most in-depth of stories but I think it is very interesting to see two HUGE brands jumping on the 3DP bandwagon. I personally think the scan-to-print trend is just a fad but it could lead to some interesting tech in the future perhaps. Like this we’ve spotted today > http://aiorobotics.com/
A closed eco-system? Big news perhaps but we’ll hang fire until the Kickstarter campaign to see if this is a false dawn.
I honestly thought she was holding a tea kettle.
To be fair @Greg_M_iTrooper when I first saw it I thought it was an electric whisk.
… but that wouldn’t be worth the whisk though would it?..
•groan*
Hahahahahaha, yeah, you’re right, now that you mentioned that, that does look like a whisk too.
And haw haw on the pun lol
How sexist, we all assume the woman is holding an appliance. I thought it was an iron, for a moment.
The way she is holding it, she is scanning her rack.
as long as they share the STLs…
And people wonder why women aren’t entering engineering/cs/etc.
You never see some beefcake dude scanning his buns in these things
