Since many people voted for a new button style (less colorful design) I started to paint new icons. Which design looks better ? Any feedback is welcome !
I think I really like the Metal look.

Metal. It has the most contrast.
Or is it possible to get all three and make a Settings tab, where you can change the Themes?
@Johannes_Gehberger I thought about a changeable theme as well, but I don’t see a way to switch between different icons without duplicating all layout definitions (would significantly increase maintenance efforts) .
Personally I like the Metal theme. I think it is the clearest to understand and the most striking part of general design colored steel or graphite

Not sure I can support the metal because the gradient look is sort of dated. I appreciate the colors in the old style. I’d be happy to contribute a possible icon set if you provide the specs.
@Robert_Cicetti Many people did not like the colors in the old style. I still try to find a way how I can make the style configurable. The specs for the buttons are 64x64px as png.

A wifi looking button for “Connect” is misleading for those of us using usb cable or bluetooth, also a big round green button for Print would be better and matches the red button for stop, the metal style could be a round button with a tick in the middle to match the X button and put the X, tick and pause button on the same line.
