SLA printed Tachikoma.
This is my second print, and the main thing I learned is… plan carefully for resin drainage.

What printer?
@James_Nelson Formlabs Form 2.
impressive!
love those bots!
Really nice!
Very impressive! Sadly, the Form 2 would be a toy way above my pay grade
… Guess you’ll be using yours professionally, once you get the hang of it?
Thanks Ingo, yeah looking to get into injection molding and want to confirm my designs with SLA before spending my cash at Protolabs.
Injection molding and 3d printing have completely different design requirements. There are some good tips on design for injection molding at protolabs.
@Thomas_Cox Right, my typo (now fixed) made my message unintelligible, sorry. I’m working with Protolabs, but prototyping the many parts I will send them in the Form 2.
Did you make this model? Would you be willing to share?
Nevermind
thanks!!! https://www.thingiverse.com/make:395123/
@James_Nelson Ha! Actually I have a new version of that file that removes the internal meshes. I haven’t printed it yet but if you put that in your slicer you’ll see what I mean. I’ll send it to you.
Cool thanks
@James_Nelson - here you go … it’s kinda large: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2598422
Oh wow, looks awesome!
Nice job!
@Jamie_Laing1 just got Moai 3D printer can’t wait to print this.
@James_Nelson that’s awesome, were you able to pull down that revised file ok? It was so big the Thingiverse engine appears to have choked.
Yeah I got it, preview doesn’t work though
@Jamie_Laing finally got the settings and supports printed correctly on Moai, looks pretty good, thanks for the model!
