Just wondering if you saw my posts last year on this design? I never got as far as a first print but did have a moving XY platform.

It was because of me that Tim Rastall drew the drawing of the cable layout you have on your website. Glad to see you got it working well, in a twist of fate I’m currently printing out your design it looks well thought out.

Hi @David_Moorhouse yes, your initial post seemed to kick it all off. I have updated my blog posts and youmagine page to talk about your initial design and point to your cablebot design. I did most of the Sli3DR design over Christmas and finished it around March time.

It’s taken quite some time just to get the files tidy for release. I hope you get on well with the build, if you have any questions do let me know and I will try to help. It is a good system for X/Y motion. I have been using Spectra line for many years - originally on the Tantillus design by Sublime and later my 3DR Delta printers.

I had a ‘quest for the perfect Z’ axis when looking at the Sli3DR design, and I’m very happy with the print results.

Let me know how you get on.
