Very nice Mark, thanks for sharing!
There are lots of ways to print ABS on a room temperature platform and keep it from lifting up (though most of them will make it difficult to remove after printing), but that’s not the only purpose of a heated platform. The heat rising off the platform helps keep the print warm to prevent delamination of the layers that have already been printed due to the combination of warping force and a low fusing temperature.
@Whosa_whatsis , I think this is perhaps one of the things I’ve seen that works very well. Prints just come off the build platform fairly easy. They don’t require much effort to get the off.
I’ve tried with rosin based glues and they simply do not want to come off.
