Eh. Jtag not available. Rookies mistake. Should be at least on some test points. Boot loader debugging will be hell.

@Matthias_Welwarsky as far as u-boot is concerned, it’s just a BBB clone. The hardest part was “choosing” a 4 digit asci value to burn into eeprom, so u-boot knows what device tree to load for the kernel.

I am no rookie.

Maybe. But that is not what I mean. Any form of development apart from running a pre-fabricated image and running bonescript stuff will be much more difficult. You cannot reasonably develop code for the PRU without CCS, which relies on Jtag, no baremetal stuff or alternative OS development. Nothing outside of mainstream.

Not asking for a Jtag header, but just for the signals to be available. Test pads would be great.

The board is a silly reference design. It does break out the console uart, spi, and i2c. Breaking out JTAG could help if you are going to roll your own.

The PRU lines aren’t even broken out. With a bit more room or bottom sided smt connectors you could break out more.
