Smoothieboard malfunctioning

Brand new board out of the box, put a fresh firmware.bin and config file on it and tried to boot it up. This was the result.

Sometimes I can get it to run for a few minutes, but at the end the two middle lights stop flashing, or all of them except the VBB led go very dim and the board becomes unresponsive. Running it via the network or USB doesn’t make a difference. I’ve reflowed all of the through-hold solder points. I can’t figure out what’s going wrong.

Any help would be appreciated :slight_smile:

Hey.

You should definitely contact whomever sold the board to you ( I think Uberclock here ) and ask for a replacement, this is not normal behavior.

Hey they have been pretty busy lately, with the new batch arriving, the group orders, etc …

You should shoot them an email again, and if you don’t have an answer in a few days, tell me and I’ll ping them myself.
