In my opinion the advantage to using LaserWeb would be the Image rastering. Also LW has a wider selection of supported vector file formats.

CP is definitely better at managing machine connections. For example in your shop you could have a Laser and a CNC both connected to a Rasp Pi. Each Rasp Pi would have the port websocket service running. Now you can connect to any of these machines from CP, CP will automatically scan your local area network to find all web-services. I really like this separation between the port web socket and the actual UI it would be a nice enhancement for LW.
