Smoothieware Request for Pause / Resume Function

I would like a function that will Pause the print, move Bed / Z axis away from extruder.
I should be able then to jog the extruder / bed anyware.
manually retract filament
install new filament, manually extrude/prime.
then be able to resume the print from where it left off.
This would also be handy for use with a filament detector.

At least this was if filament runs out it will pause in a safe location, maybe turn off heaters, and will not melt a hole in my print.

Is this possible to be looked at and done?

Sounds like you are looking for the “suspend” and “resume” commands as well as the associated configuration options.

Cool i must have missed that, even though i did see that info, so suspend should work followed by move z Axis

then when i issue a resume should go back and resume where it left off.

I must of gone blind reading all the different bits of info.
