So 3d systems has the print print pla at 230c… That’s… Interesting

My average pla temp is 225, so 230 is not really that out of the ordinary for printing speeds over 60mm/s with all metal hot ends.

I usually print at 200-205 max on my flashed davinci and delta

The bigger players seem to like using higher-temp PLA blends than we do. Not sure why. Makerbot/Stratasys did it for years too.

Yeah they do lots of interesting things… Have you had to tear open the machine yet?

Only cartridges to un jam them. It’s overall a pretty good printer

They probably use their own pla with additives to achieve certain results and lock customers in so they cant just go online and buy from generic pla.

Stratsys does the same with their abs.
