So although I just rebuilt my z and y axis. The fact is I started it with an idea for the z axis. Then had a much better idea when building the y axis. So after a quick test showed up the flaws in my z axis design I decided to rebuild it again. This time using the basic ideas from the y axis which I was very happy with.
Not finished yet but here are some work in progress pics and a video of the nice smooth action and tight fit i was able to achieve on the bottom part of the z carriage.
Tomorrow I should be able to finish and reassemble for a test.
