So I built the x-stage only to realise that the printed parts (the ones with the leadscrew nuts) are so bad, that the screws holding them loosened. And to make it worse, the heads are facing the inner side of the sliders. I will have to take them halfway apart again to tighten the screws (and actually change them using better ones).
