So… I currently have my davinci 1.0 printing at 50 microns!! I can probably go even lower. Currently printing a #3dbenchy
Are you using a different slicer to achieve this? Can you also preform magic and help me fix the problem of the exceptionally poor x and y resolution?
@Neal_Grieb yes i am using slic3r and converting the gcode. Firmware is stock. As for the sloppy x and y i would tighten the belts
Ya, I’ve tried belt adjustment, but have never been able to get better than about +/- 0.015 inches using the official software. I have yet to try slic3r: I haven’t had time to do my research on the settings required.
I am curious on the slic3r settings and gcode. I have been playing around with slic3r and haven’t found the best settings to use. Mainly been tinkering with some of the speed settings. Also are you getting these results with ABS or PLA? I noticed when I have printed PLA at .2 with slic3r the results looks as good as .1 ABS. But I haven’t been able to get PLA to print good at .1.
