So I finally got some active cooling for my printer and what a difference!

So I finally got some active cooling for my printer and what a difference! It’s not in it’s final stage but it’s functional none the less! And no stringing! I should have gotten a fan a long time ago. Once I get the right mount made I’ll actually bolt it on. Also, this pyramid is only 1.5" tall so it’s somewhat small. I’ve been considering getting a smaller nozzel to see if I can get better small prints. I’m currently using a .4mm and it works well for most things but the tiny stuff isn’t the most amazing. Slowly but surely I’m polishing this $154 turd. Lol. At the very least I have learned what is important and if I do ever get a new printer I’ll know what I want in one.

It is amazing the difference that active cooling can make (at least with PLA and like filaments) in the quality of the print. Looking good!

@Jeff_Parish I’m always finding new ways to make this printer better and slowly but surely I’m actually getting some quality out of it. It’s not perfect but much better than I was expecting to get out of this thing. Lol

Love the zip ties everywhere! What printer is it?

@Philip_Money_Mongoos Lol. Zip ties are just a temporary thing. They are easy to put on and cut off. The printer is a knock off Prusa i3 from CtC. eBay special, baby! Lol.
