So, I got my 3d printer’s electronics installed. There is still some assembly to do. I can’t seem to connect to the printer using Repetier Host. I managed to update the firmware once and have it home the arms properly.
The shutoff times on the LCD screen were some large number and the LCD screen went up to only 9999. I now have settings of 9999, but I think it may be too low.
I plugged in the SD card that came with the Rostock Max and then the homing and the X,Y,Z control started misbehaving. I can’t seem to log into my SeeMeCNC forum account either. grrrr. That means I can’t post there to ask the folk on that forum. The printer now ignores the endstops. The motor direction reversed. I undid the firmware update and the motors went back the other way again for homing, but the motors before and after stopped after about an inch.

Anyone have an idea of what is going on?
For the connectivity issues make sure your baud rates are the same in your firm ware as they are in Repetier host eg 250000.
I’ve noticed that an sd card can take up all-out of the systems resources. So ut will be slow or not respond at all (probably something in the firmware)
For your end stops check the wiring, false signals or none at all will make your strippers run in the opposite direction as not to crash into the bead.
The end stops were working properly before I tried putting the SD card in.
What controller are you using? And what LCD module are you using.
Rambo controller. LCD controller from rerapdiscount. Both of these were part of the SeeMeCNC Rostock Max kit.
Mm I have no experience with the Rambo controller. @ThantiK do you have any experience with that controller?
@Loren_Brandenburg did you have similar problems?
I flashed it similar to geneb’s instructions but via Linux.
I will be able to work on this again in an hour or so.
