So I guess Spectra is not the same thing as ‘fishing line’…I’ve got 50 lb monofiliament, but I suspect it’s one of those details I’ll end up regretting/replacing before the printer make good, consistent, prints.
My RAMBo came with three cogged gears, I could go the timing belt route. Can anyone point me at the pros/cons for each?
“Spectra” is Kevlar (or something similar); monofilament is just plastic filament (it will slip and break quickly).
Spectra is made with filament manufactured by Dyneema… Ultra strong stuff.
Seems like all the amounts I see are for three lifetime’s supply of the stuff! Sure, it’s only $40 or so, but then I’ll have 291 Yards left out of a 300 yard spool!
(There’s a dearth of fish in Colorado that would truly need 100 lb line.)
