So I hang-out at Cloudynights.com, an astronomy club, and every now and then the question of ‘is 3d printing useful in astronomy?’ comes up. Someone posted in this thread:

My thought was ‘I came print these and use them.’ Now I have to get
off my butt and model them (Blender or OpenScad?). Then print them/test them.
