So… I have a very large order that i will profit about $500 from and i am thinking about building/buying a better printer. I have a davinci 1.0. Im looking for a large platform printer. Any ideas?

E3d just launched a Kickstarter

Type A Machines has a 1 cubic foot build capacity…305mm in all directions, plus a good warranty and is a solid machine.

Im looking for one that is available

Prusa i3

@Nick_Kloski1 how expensive is it?

Is your price range just the $500? I know of a very good design that’s about 2x that complete.

Yes. Im in highschool and only make money off of the printer. $500 max. Im also looking at delta printers. They seem cool

Ahhh…then the TAM printer is too much…it’s $2750…but there are others out there definitely…but for $500 it might be hard to get a whole new printer that is significantly larger than what you have. But I might be wrong!

I think i may get a geetech g2 delta… Dual extruder, about the same size a my printer, and a DELTA

If you have experience with building a printer, why not roll your own? An i3 or mendel90 can easily be changed to have a larger build platform. And if you print your own parts you will save a bit of money as well, not to mention the great feeling of accomplishment :slight_smile:

Yep…seconded on the modified Mendel 90…a very solid design. The Mendel Max is also fairly expandable as well, and very sturdy.
