So I received the TCM2208 drivers the other day. And as the Z-Axis doesn’t move very much I don’t think I will need the benefits they bring for that axis. Does anyone know if they are mixable? Let’s say 2208 on XY and E with 8825 or 4988 on Z?

each axis has its own driver and they can be each different model - as long as you configure the current for the motor you should be ok.

ps: i think tmc2208 comes by default on the quiet but less torque mode. you would need to problematically configure them on higher torque

@Cristian_Nicola okay great. Will do so. I know the drivers come preconfigured for silent chop mode. But I will see if it works well that way. If not I will reconfigure them. Thank you very much.

I only use the drivers on the X/Y axis
