SO; if I were to get a 3d printer anytime soon i would have to be under USD$500. My main few I have been looking at are
Anet A8
Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2
Cr-10
I think it would be amazing to have dual extruder- and I don’t really NEED them.
I definitely need a heated build plate- and a part cooling fan.
It would also be nice to have a way to easily enclose it in a ghetto-heated build chamber.
I would honestly like a pretty versatile machine- being able to print both really fast with really high layer height or really slow with low height etc.
I have not previously OWNED a 3d printer but I have worked with them on many occasions and have a great deal of electronics / troubleshooting experience. Because of this I am leaning toward getting the A8 but would love any advice.
I 100% will not get a printer with less than 200mm x 200mm x 200mm.
I guess I would kind-of like some advice on the best option for me. The most important thing for me is sadly price- I need to keep the cost down as much as possible.
Thanks
~Derek
If you go with an A8, be mindful of where you buy it from. Some Chinamen, apparently, have taken a liking to sending you an inferior Tronxy-printer instead.
@Nita_Vesa is that what I found with my link? Some other models at that site have the Tronxy logo in the picture. Is that type just under spec electrical?
You might also consider the Folger tech ft-5. That is the one I am going to purchase shortly and if you have the ability to assemble a kit, it is a lot of printer for the money. It is currently $474.00 with a coupon code. I was considering the same ones as you listed, and had pretty much decided on the CR-10 for the size until I found the FT-5.
I have a Wanhoa Di3 and I love it. Consistently prints great prints, inexpensive and a heated build plate, all metal construction. And a lot of community designed upgrades.
