So I’m back to ordering LEDs and I’m wondering what is the newest/best or cheapest chipset currently available? I’m looking for normal strips and “pixel modules”, but wold also be happy to know of other special pixel-products you like! Fx i’ve seen strips where the led is directed vertically on the strip.
Thanks!
@Simon_Hermansen , I’ve just ordered 100m of WS2818 12v pixels.
Each pixel has a buck module to reduce to 5v, these should make power distribution easier and reduce voltage drop.
WS2818 modules are the equivalent of WS2813Bs so one dead pixel shouldn’t take out the downstream pixels.
12V power supplies are normally cheaper than 5v too

That’s a lot of meters. Interesting, thank you for pointing those out.
@marmil 100m is enough for one tree or two umbrellas
