So I’m getting blobbing on my prints. Anyone have any idea what setting to change to make this go away?
Maybe preheat your filament, maybe it absorbed moisture.
If you’re using Cura, enable coasting (under experimental) and play around with the speed and volume. I use 90% speed and 0.094 mm^3, but it’ll depend how “runny” your plastic is.
Could be lack of cooling and/or insufficient retraction.
Is this PETG? Petg tends here not to Stick the first few mm making these blobs
Try reducing temperature. Is this ABS?
@_Spice I am using Cura so I’ll give it a shot.
@Carsten_Wartmann no, I’m using PLA.
@Selvakumaran_Ganesan no, it’s PLA and I only print at 195c.
They’re retraction blobs. Couple different settings to play around with to solve this. Mostly coasting but there’s also wipe and retraction speed to play around with. Try a small test print and play around with just increasing coasting in small increments and see what value looks best.
If you can figure out whether those blobs are at the start or at the end of a layer that will help (by watching the print). If it’s at the end then tweaking coasting will help. If it’s at the start then it won’t.
@Cameron_Spiller I think the setting in Cura that would fix your specific issue is “Retract Before Outer Wall”
