So I’ve started to use the http://seacans.com (a canadian supplier) who sells filament for 19.99 for a 1kg spool. The abs i’ve tested seems to print out just as nicely as the makerbot spools, the filament is slightly on the larger size , 1.76-178ish and i didn’t see much “ovoid” in the filament. Differences i’ve seen is that the smell is much more plastic’y and when i printed the below chip on a heated bed (115) with blue painters tape it seems to absorb the color of the tape a bit and turn a slight bit o green. (the 2nd pic is the bottom) a bit a sanding took care of the off color but still one more step that i’d rather not have to take if it can be avoided. Anyone else see this issue in other filaments? Overall when I need to resupply I’ll certainly order from these guys again, they were really fast for me (i’m in CA) unlink 3d2print (who are in germany) and its been about 3 weeks and i’m still waiting on filament from them.
