So… Looking at the code some more. What the heck is Squant?
That looks very much like a joke to me…
Squant is what happens when @Mark_Kriegsman and I get punchy 
He knew then, that she was Squant, the sea-giantess. So he waded into the ocean and reached for a hold on her braids. They slipped like green water through his fingers. Squant laughed, sang a song, and hid in an underseas cave not far from the cliffs at Gay Head. Maushop desired to follow her, and wrap her hair around him; but he, a man giant, needed to breathe the wind.
