So my experiment with bondo to smooth parts went well… If I had more patience it would have looked very nice
Bondo sand bondo sand prime sand paint. That’s how to get a super clean finish
You may want to try glazing putty. It’s like a thinner bondo that is often used on very small dents, or as a top coat on bondo for the final sanding. High build primers are also an option. If you’re just looking to fill layer lines either product would be easier to sand, and usually feathers the edges better too.
The one thing that’s killing me are the small imperfections… There are many of them. If I had more time to sand it would have been better. It covered up the cracks, missing chunks, and glue lines perfectly
There’s also a product in the body shop area called spot putty, a thinner consistency than bondo, I’m sure. It’s designed for filling in the invisible divots that often appear after the painting/priming. It’s possible that Jason D. is referencing spot putty, but I associate glazing putty with installing glass panes into frames.
Is that print abs or PLA?
It is abs but I have no way for a vapor bath. The print was too big
Next time sand it a little first just to get the edges off
