So, cnc project has started. OpenBuilds ‘OX’ 1000x750, ordered from vslot-europe.
So far, a few nagging bits. The eccentric wheel adjusters weren’t the in package, despite a full ‘checklist’ received with the kit. Thats quite annoying.
A few other bits are missing but mostly easy to find if you have a bunch of readily available M5 things (washers, etc)
Another problem I have is the cut plates are slightly too big, so will require quite a bit of filing to make it all fit, motor mounts for example have to be filled at least 1/2mm for the screws to even match the holes.
On the other hand, all extrusions have already been taped M5 at the right place, thats quite good.
Anyway, thats progress for the day!
@Michael_Johnson I’m goign to use a gShield V5, an arduino Due, and Tiny G2 plus ChilliPeppr. I think i will upgrade the gShield in the near future too, to get a driver per Y motor instead of a shared one… I migth even consider a 4rth axis too!
