So reading through the smoothieboard side of building/wiring the shapeoko 2. The board calls for 24v and a separate 5v per http://smoothieware.org/cnc-mill-guide#toc16

So rather than two separate PSU any thoughts on a dual 24v/5v psu. The only problem is most are low wattage and based on the doc it doesn’t seem to reference any wattage requirements at all.

I use a hacked ATX power supply. It can output 5 and 12 v and up to several hundred watts. But usually, I power the board itself through the USB for 5v, then I use the 12v from my psu.

I see some power supply units on Aliexpress.com that put out 24v and 5v.
