So since I’ve started printing, I’ve been working on printing directly on glass without anything to help make it stick. I’d say I’ve done a pretty good job! I only print in pla though so it’s not like it’s something amazing but it sure beats having to clean the bed or put down tape all the time.
try hairspray on it!
What temperature did you set on your heatbed? Or did you print without heating?
I so want to do this but the best I got was 10mm height on 20x20, and only that once. Is delta inherently harder to get flat z?
@Miro_Klco bed is at 65c.
@whackyhack it took me a while to get it right but now I generally don’t print with any brim and I never use anything on the glass. Most I do is whipe the glass off so it’s not dusty.
Just printed out another part that doesn’t have much surface area but also stuck pretty hard. Again, no brim or anything else to make it stick to the glass.

I put down kapton tape and hit it with a glue stick once in a while. Works great.
@Robert_Hirsch to my knowledge a lot of people do. I just don’t want to do ANY work. Lol. I just hit print and let it go.
printing on glass directly has been done a lot of times in the past. It works most of the time for pla as long as the glass is clean…For abs slurry or pvp glue works great
@ekaggrat_singh_kalsi which is partly why I avoid other materials. Lol
@Kevin_Danger_Powers thats what i do. I havent changed tape in months
PLA on clean glass is awesome.
Do NOT try with PETG
I just want to print again? Still waiting on parts
All of my prints are on clean glass or with elmer’s glue stick on glass (PLA and PETG). Works great, easy to maintain, easy to explain to kids.
What sorcery is this?
@Chip_Estrada good bed adhesion…
