So stoked on these new 52mm clamps that came in the mail from SMW3D! The design looks great and is a much cleaner setup then my Chinese option which is a bit jimmy rigged. I’ll post some pics after its all set up.

I am absolutely happy with the 65mm clamps @Brandon_Satterfield had custom made for me for use on the LaserWeb test rig. They are solid and really do a great job lining up and holding the spindle in place. Just need to figure out how to make a sub assembly that will let me swap from the spindle to the laser diode and any other tool end I decide to use. (I really want to be able to add a plasma cutter to the machine, and maybe a hotend for making very large 3d prints.)
@funinthefalls thank you for the kind words sir. We do have a plasma torch holder as well. Check back in the R7 community post. It’s in there somewhere, use it weekly. Bolts to the spindle clamp.
I need to make an adapter that will let me have different tools set up on 60mm v slot, and then just bolt the vslot with tool of choice onto the Z axis Vslot with 4-6 bolts., would make for some quick changes.
@funinthefalls I’ve been working on something, handed it off to a guy. Think of the spring type connectors on a hot stab hard drive. Now machine the opposing pads into a Spindle, 3D printer, pocket on a air assist laser head, and pockets into a drag knife mount with magnetic post and latches and you get close to what’s on the plate. This will be your thought on steroids and something that’s not too far from a reality. Give me patience I’ll make that front mount you currently have adaptable to any dream you can come up with.
