So the Neopixel rgb led matrix came in today with the arduino uno r3 where do i start where do i hook this up to the arduino to make images scroll text messages?
How big is the matrix? (You might have memory problems) 3 bytes per led.
Ensure that the Uno and the matrix share an earth/ground connection.
Ensure that you have enough power, at least 60ma per led for maximum brightness on white.
Feed power and earth into all of the red and black tails on the back of the matrix.
Then just connect the data pin on the Uno to data in on the matrix. It’s worth putting a resistor, say 470ohm in the data line.
Look at the smart matrix library for scrolling messages etc.
Just a warning that some of these matrices have the data in and data out labeled the wrong way round
