So there are probably better designed dust boots but this is my first real project I did with the R7. Untested at the moment but seems to have potential. Only held on by magnets with no modifications to machine. Magnets are lined up with bolts under spindle and seem to be very stable. Back of boot backs up to z axes c beam which should keep it from turning. My only worry at the moment is the bristles are too stiff but I shall see. I can easily reduce the amount of bristles to make them more flexible. So far cost have been <$5 if you don’t count > $2000 machine and lots of fun hours assembling and learning how to do very basic design on cambam. If it works well I will be glad to share.

I love it. I was just sitting down with fusion 360 designing mine. I like yours better and might toy around with your idea. Looks like it should work and the bristles will glide over any attaching devices. I mostly machine aluminum and the wild chips should stick to the bristles. Great idea!!

Thanks Todd. I’ll let you know how it works out.

How did your dust boot turn out after using it?
