So these are some of my many tries for a calibration cube with printbot

So these are some of my many tries for a calibration cube with printbot metal. In some spots the first layer doesnt stuck to the floor in other it is too close to the bed. In the spots that the skirt is good and the cube starts then the nozzle gets inside the print and make it bad.so i dont really understand what auto leveling does.

It does 3 checks in the back check the z is 0.73 and in the two checks in the front the z is 1.24 and 1.27. I have calibrated the extruder i have calibrated the x y z axe. What else??

I tried to have it low enough to pass a paper and then set z0. After that i tried -0.2 -0.4…

I just dont understad how the auto leveling http://works.it should set the z according to the bed and keep it always leveled?

It ships a little high to protect you from scratching. Did you follow the instructions to calibrate your z sensor height? It does not print out of the box as shipped. We WANT you to know how to set the height since its part of owning the printer and getting healthy prints.

Once you get it dialed, start with .2mm layer height but set the first layer to .3mm

You’ll get there!

I dont give up the try! Well i managed to print some cubes but not in every spot of the bed. I though that if it was ok for one spot the auto calibration will do the work for every spot in the bed. The only thing that i dont know if it is relevant is that when i tried to get closer to the bed the nozzle the z rod wasnt moved by hand so inused a wrench. But it seems that i damaged the rod. The cuppler cant go until the end of the metal body it stops higher. If those are the mistake i should buy some new rod and cuppler. But when my prints pass the first layer the rest of the cube is perfect nothing bad from the z rod. Just say it if it helps. Ok keep walking keep trying!thanks

Finally!after the calibration cube a perfect frog!!very good guality even for 0.2! The only question is that the perimeters seem to be squeezed. But that you can see only inside of the print. Maybe i should try 0.05 up. Thanks all! Thanks @Brook_Drumm

Sweet!
