So this is what happens when I walk away for 5 minutes.
Thermistor came loose, can only blame myself for not quadruple making sure it was properly secured.
Oh well I got a couple of good 20mm cubes, LOL.
Bugger - so, what happened here? I woud have thought the printer would have shut down once the thermistor dropped below 175 degrees (cold extrusion or whatever it’s called).
If it’s close enough to be hot, but not close enough to sense accurately, you’d get the thing heating up like that.
That sucks…
@Jasper_Janssen nailed it. The thermistor slipped loose but was still quite close the hot end.
The PEEK on the inside was all melted as well.
Awaiting new hot ends, yes plural want to be covered this time.
