So, whike I wait for China to reopen and get my structural parts sent, I’ve been playing with the AX-02’s effector and pinning it down. Snap in/quick release E3D v6 via a magnetic clamp (still waiting on magnets) with about a kilo of pull force on each side via 4x 4x10 neodymium magnets, carbon fibre arms with Traxxas joints tapped, screwed and glued into place. SN-04 low voltage activation auto level sensor, which may get swapped out depending on how well works, I still may need to put a voltage divider in, to get it working with the 3 3v logic, the mount may well end up magnetic as well for quick swapping in and out. Dual 2040 blower fans, which need a slight tweak being too close to the block, I may get away with it though, due to the silicone sock. Everything is compact, not weighed it yet, but it’s probably around the 200g mark, so nice and light, I’m pretty happy with the way this has come together.

Also, whoever said they thought the arms were too long in the first render was right, I had the carbon rods too long… fixed it before I cut the rid down.

For anyone interested, files are up on github at https://www.github.com/AxMod3DPrint/AX-02

What voltage are you running the SNO4 at? Looking similar to how I was thinking of doing mine! I’m not doing quick release though. What joints are those?

Bottom end on the voltage is 4.8v so it may or may not work, I’ve had Green S04s with a bottom end voltage of 10v work direct into an MKS Base with 5v logic. The Ateeg X5 Mini being 32 Bit being 3.3v may work with the 4.8, it’s yet to be seen, I’ll fully test it when the Board arrives.

Ball ends are Traxxas TRX5347s, 12 per pack and about £7-ish.
