You would have to use significantly higher pitch lead screw to really get good speeds.
I was thinking someone would use a belt and mount the motor perpendicular to the center angle of the V. The belt could mount flat against the back of the carriage. 90deg angle extrusion can be found just about anywhere.
Is that a grove in the edge of the bearing rollers? Plus side, fewer rollers for the guide. Minus side, depends on stiffness and strength in directions the bearing might not be designed for.
It would work fine for a delta, but it’s actually a pretty bad profile shape for the CNC use the Kickstarter campaign is doing. Angle stock has very poor torsional stiffness.
